Who: This climb is open to anyone (18+) looking to honor a fallen first responder, service member, or a loved one. We especially encourage firefighters, police officers, and EMS personnel to participate. (Minors ages 13-17 are authorized and may be registered with a primary Climber)

 

What: A full stair climb (11 laps)  at the beautiful Crowne Plaza, featuring stunning views of the beach and ocean, alongside others who the same mission. If you choose to do all 11 laps, is equivalent to 110 flights of stairs, which would have reached the top of the WTC. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY CHALLENGING EVENT THAT WILL REQUIRE 100% EFFORT.  There is no obligation to complete the climb; our emphasis is on fostering camaraderie, companionship, and remembrance.

Where: Crowne Plaza — 450 E. Harbor Blvd. Ventura, CA 93001

 

When: September 2026 (To Be Announced) ; check-in begins at 8:00 AM. Cost: $50.00 per climber. This fee covers event expenses, and all additional proceeds will support the Ventura Fire Honor Guard.

Other:

• Firefighters, police officers, first responders, and EMS personnel are encouraged to wear their gear, including turnouts, SCBA, and weight vests although it is not mandatory.

• If you sign up with a team, please ensure all team members are in the same or similar attire.  (Ex. All Turnouts--No SCBA, All Turnouts + SCBA, All PT Gear, Full SWAT Kit, etc...)

• Please check in at the California Street Marketplace "Check-in Booth" upon arrival.

• Valet Parking is available at the Crowne Plaza Hotel; Additionally, a city fee-provided parking structure is also accessible (Parking can be validated by the Crowne Plaza up to five hours).

• SCBA rentals are available but limited, please plan ahead and coordinate with your department.

• Hydration Stations are available throughout the Climb so we have you covered!
